So after pulling out of the England squad, Rio Ferdinand is working as a TV pundit in Qatar for England's game against San Marino. Personally I don't see anything wrong with it.  If he wasn't in the squad this was scheduled downtime. He is trying to prolong his footballing career by working with his club side, Manchester United on a pre-planned programme to aid his recovery between matches. I have no idea what the big fuss is about! After all someone else will now have the opportunity to represent their country.  Lets hope they give it their all in the same way that Rio has since his début in 1997..
