Tottenham currently sit in 7th position in the Premier League with 27 points just 8 points behind leaders Arsenal. In the Europa League group stage they scored 15 and conceded  2 goals finishing top of their group unbeaten on 18 points.

Despite this they have sacked Andre Villas-Boas after being beaten at home by Liverpool 5-0. It just goes to show you that there is no hiding place in football management. Win, lose, draw, finish bottom, mid table or top no manager is safe from the dreaded chop.
