Iain Moody, Cardiff City's Head of Recruitment has been suspended and controversially replaced without then knowledge of manager Malky Mackay.

Alisher Apsalyamov a friend of the owners son has replaced Moody.  The 23 year old was previously on work experience at the Cardiff City stadium painting the walls. Apsalyamov will now be in charge of recruiting players during the January transfer window.

Moody has been placed on gardening leave until the end of the season on full pay. Therefore Mackay will be without a trusted, experienced professional who he has worked with for the last seven years. The outcome of any transfer dealing during the deadline could decide on weather Cardiff stay in the top flight.

There has so far been no official comment from Cardiff. One thing that is for sure is you can bet Malky Mackay isn't a happy man..
