Hot summer temperatures in Qatar and player and fan safety have forced FIFA to set up taskforce to look at new dates for the 2022 World Cup in Qatar. The taskforce will consult with medical experts, broadcasters, sponsors and influential European leagues before any decisions are made.
Asian Football Confederation president Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim al-Khalifa will head the taskforce. Premier League chief executive Richard Scudamore is rumoured to be asked to be a member of the working group.
No final decision on when the tournament will be played will be made before the World Cup in 2014.
