Paolo Di Canio sacked as Sunderland manager. Now there's a surprise I hear you say.
Despite controversial man management skills, Di Canio had been given £19m to spend during the summer. In addition he was allowed to let the likes of Stephane Sessegnon leave.
Perhaps Sunderland fans should look at the board who are now looking at appointing their sixth manager in just five years. They knew Di Canio's methods and yet still appointed him. If I were a Sunderland supporter I would be asking questions of the board and not slating Di Canio who as always wore his heart on his sleeve.
