So. An official approach has been made by Millwall to St Johnstone to speak to Steve Lomas.

The message boards are going into melt down off the back of this news and not in a positive way.  Being an ex West Ham player Lomas already has a bad mark against his name. Lose the first few games of the season and it will be all downhill from there on in.

Personally I believe it shouldn't matter who he played for or where he has managed as long as he turns out to be the right person for the job.  What worries me the most is that the likes of Owen Coyle, Alex McLeish, Marcus Babbel and Steve McClaren were all mentioned as in the running for the job.

Time will tell of course and if he does get the job then the fans need to get right behind him and the team if they want to retain championship status.
